Support For Caregivers. Stability for Home.

Caring for someone with complex needs requires constant attention, emotional resilience, and physical energy. CareGrowth provides structured in-home respite that allows caregivers to rest, recover, and attend to life’s demands while their loved one remains safe, supported, and comfortable at home.

Our professional respite support allows families to step away with confidence, knowing routines remain consistent, safety is maintained, and care continues without disruption. Respite is not a pause in care. It is a continuation of stability.

Respite shifts start at $475 for overnight support and $525 for a full 8-hour day shift. Families who commit to a recurring weekly schedule receive a better effective rate. No long-term contract required — just reliable, professional coverage when your family needs it.

What does respite care actually look like in a private home?
Respite is planned, structured coverage that lets the primary caregiver step away while care stays consistent. It can be a few scheduled visits each week, a weekend block, overnight support, or short-term daily coverage during a demanding period. In BC, respite is commonly delivered in-home, through community programs, or through short stays. CareGrowth focuses on private in-home relief with clear routines and oversight.
Can respite be set up quickly, or does it need weeks of planning?

Both. Many families plan respite proactively (best for consistency). But when caregiver fatigue, travel, or a sudden change happens, we can often mobilize structured coverage quickly once we’ve confirmed needs, risks, routines, and who is authorized to make decisions. If the situation requires higher-intensity staffing, we’ll be transparent about timelines and options.

We’re not looking for “babysitting.” How do you keep respite professional and predictable?

Respite only works if it reduces stress, not adds to it! We align on the exact outcome (rest, appointments, travel, recovery), document the routine, confirm safety and escalation steps, and assign caregivers who can follow structure without constant direction. You should feel like you can truly step away, not manage from the sidelines.

Can respite support dementia, behavioural escalation, or medically complex routines?
Yes! When respite is matched correctly, many caregivers seek respite specifically because dementia-related changes, behavioural volatility, or complex routines make breaks hard to take safely. We use predictable routines, calm delivery, and clear escalation protocols so support remains stable during your time away. Respite is intended to give caregivers relief from the demands of care, and that relief matters most when needs are complex.
Can respite cover a child or teen with higher needs so parents can recover, work, or support siblings?

Yes. Some families need respite because care intensity is constant —supervision, sensory needs, behavioural support, or structured routines. We plan respite around the child’s established patterns (communication style, triggers, calming strategies, and safety rules) so the home stays stable and the parent can genuinely reset.
