Who We’re Hiring:
We’re currently hiring 3 Health Care Assistants (HCAs) to support a young person functioning at an infant developmental level with complex needs in a peaceful, family-style home in West Vancouver. This is a two-client home with 24/7 staffing. If you thrive in structured, low-stimulation environments and love providing one-on-one support, this is a special opportunity to make a difference.

To be eligible for this role, you must be legally entitled to work in Canada (citizen, permanent resident, or valid open work permit). We are not able to sponsor additional candidates at this time.
Position Overview:
What You’ll Do:
- Support with daily care: diapering, dressing, hygiene, feeding, bathing, and soothing routines
- Follow safety protocols including two-person transfers, seizure monitoring, and close supervision (especially outdoors and near stairs)
- Create a safe environment for a child with no danger awareness and frequent mouthing behaviours
- Engage in calming, sensory-based activities like reading, music, stroller walks, and supervised outdoor time
- Follow specific medication routines and assist as trained (no G-tube care required)
- Maintain a clean, respectful, and low-stimulation space
- Collaborate with a small team and communicate clearly through shift notes and updates
- Support with sleep routines and occasional overnight shifts (awake or sleep — flexible)
What You’ll Need:
- HCA certification in BC (or equivalent)
- Legally able to work in Canada (PR, citizenship, or valid open permit)
- Strong experience or interest in complex care, developmental delays, and behavioural supports
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to complete)
- Ability to perform physically active duties including diapering on floor mats and two-person lifts
- Emotional maturity, calm demeanour, and patience
- Clear Criminal Record Check and MCFD screening clearance
- Valid BC Driver’s Licence is an asset (for outings and appointments)
